Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

In 1920 started the gravel extraction in agricultural lands in the western outskirts of Milan, years after years the excavation made five large quarries : Casati, Cabassi , Aurora , Ongari e Cerutti.
In 1960 no more gravel and sand was quarried so the area was abandoned. Many fishing associations took possession of the quarries and filled them with water to turn them into fish reserves until the 1995 when the municipality decided to transform this enormous area in a public park with its 135 hectares it is the second public park after the Bosco in città (forest in the city)

Clean open space, mainly for walking, jogging, good for animals. Clean and shady, run amongst the pines. Dog walks, picnics. Fishing only through a membership at Bersaglieri Club.

Come'on boy! Go there with your family and friends for relaxing yourself during a sunny sunday of spring/summer.
In Autumn or winter it's a good place for runners!

A truly ideal place to spend a relaxing day, among greenery, squirrels, herons, frogs and to pay a visit to the Caldera farmhouse, where you can see the farm animals (sheep, cows, goats, rabbits, two donkeys and horses). The farm is also open on Sundays for the sale of some homemade products.
There are several basketball and football fields. There are multiple routes for jogging enthusiasts (the park is practically connected to Trenno and Bosco in the city, so the experience can actually involve several kilometers and touches places and stations equipped for everything from picnics to barbecue areas, fitness trails, etc.).
The Linterno farmhouse (Petrarch's summer home for a period) is also part of the park. Here too there are various events that affect the place. Until recently the farmhouse also housed a kindergarten and a primary school - Steiner method.
There is a bowling club and two fishing associations (Aurora and Il Bersagliere, the latter also has small boats for members who fish inside the quarry as well as a barbecue area and other services).
Clearly there are many activities that take place in the park during the year as it is a large green area in the municipality of Milan. The most evocative and suitable for children is the evening walk to see the fireflies. Fantastic!
The park is part of the Baggio neighborhood which, in recent years, has seen the quality of life of its inhabitants rise significantly between services, a small-town atmosphere still free from gentrification and the wildest speculation (for a little while longer it seems!).

Grazie
Written 3 May 2020

Grazie in anticipo

No al parco delle cave no.

Grazie.
Written 6 May 2018
Written 7 May 2018
