The pulsating core of Milan is in Centro. Duomo Square is enclosed by the gothic cathedral, the historic icon of Milan. However, shopping is what draws most crowds to this area. The classy and versatile Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II with luxury boutiques and high quality restaurants will turn any shopping or lunch expedition into a royal experience. Head to the rooftop of the flagship La Rinascente to enjoy the view of the animated square with a panorama of the Duomo. The Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the street for high-end shopping. Brands of all kinds and street artists attract the attention of all visitors; while at Via Santa Radegonda 16, Luini Panzerotti is a much appreciated street food shop providing unimaginable culinary experiences. If shopping takes its toll on you, consider visiting Castello Sforzesco, a 15th century castle housing several museums. Those looking to relax can go to Parco Sempione, where nature provides respite from the energy of this dynamic and international city.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The church was begun in 1577 and completed in 1617. It is a circular church with side chapels. It was supposed to house some high quality art, but it was impossible to see because it was under restoration. The ceiling of the church contained some amazing frescoes that were worth looking at.

We didn't decided to visit this church but we were passing by it and went inside. Free entrance and it's really very nice (Mannerist style). It's near the Duomo. It was built in 1577. I liked the Altar, the beautiful statues and the huge cupola. It's worth to visit...

You think it is another church in Milan. It is ture, but this one is very nicely decorated inside, and from outside the octagonal form is pretty unsual.

An impressive octagonal Mannerist church, built during the 16th century and containing a nice frescoed dome. It is a civic temple and thus managed both by religious and civic institutions.

In the heart of Milan, 5 minutes from Piazza Duomo, this small church will surprise you. Round shaped, beautiful inside, full of paintings and statues. absolutely worth a visit while in Milan.

We found this church/temple to be very unusual in that it is octagonal in shape. It is located about 200 metres down the via Torino from the Piazza del Duomo.
The building of the church was commenced during the 16th century with modifications undertaken in the 17th century and the cupola being decorated in the first half of the19th century.
The interior is quite beautiful with some excellent paintings and frescoes, particularly on the cupola. The reasonably small main altar, whilst a mass of gold, silver and marble, is understated compared to many others and is almost matched in beauty by several of the small chapels around the octagonal sides.
Well worth a visit.

You can always tell this one from dozens of milanese churches. It has round shape and it's quite beautiful.

Another church? Should we have a look inside?
Well, yes, you should. The interior is beautiful and one of the most decorated that we visited but you wouldn't think so if you were passing. It's also circular in shape so very unusual. If you're not interested in churches at all this may change your mind a little and certainly worth a little of your time.

From the outside this is not an overly impressive church. It is quite small compared to other churches in Milan. It is not overly decorated inside but the domed ceiling has been exquisitely painted
