Rapid, mostly self-controlled toboggan ride... might feel bruising on first encounter but you'll want to have another go... and let the brake go a bit more. Besides, the views from Mottarone on a clear-enough day are breathtaking.

After taking the cable car to the top of Mottarone and walking off the early breakfast it was a great treat to have a fun packed ride at Alpyland... Cars can take single or double occupants and it's well worth the modest fare for so much fun.

If you have a clear day, this trip is really great. At the top,you get some spectacular views as well as a perspective of the area. Make sure you are aware of the last car down if you go late in the day.

After our trip up the mountain, my husband insisted on riding these bobsleds. I decided to take pictures as he indulged his inner child. From the look on his face, I'd say he had a great time. The views from the top of the mountain are so worth the price of the cable car(s) but this side trip was a... More

I was enjoying a holiday with my dad and thought to add some thrill. At the age of 80, not only did he enjoy the ride on the bobsleigh, but he also drove it himself! It is highly recommendable to buy the ticket for multiple rides: once is not enough!

It is possible to drive up to Mottarone, and climb the several 100m to the start of the track. Most tourists will ascend the recently refurbished 2 stage cable car and the take the 2 man chairlift up to the top. The slide is about 100m (slightly downhill) down a rough track. It is not terribly well sign posted from... More

We went up by cablecar (ferurbished since this year) aswell as by car and bike on a different day. Cablecarride includes two cablecars (hardly no wait in between) and one chairlift. Up and down prices are not more or less expensive then elsewhere in the alps. Parking at the bottom is a nightmare. Try walking there from Stresa (nice along... More

This is a relatively short but fun bobsleigh run on rails at the top of the mountain. It will clear the head after a stuffy cable car ride and then a pleasant chairlift. You control the speed your self and if you don't use the brake it will get up a decent speed

You can get to Alpiland by road or cable car, cable car is much easier and an amazing ride but I think it's about €15 each, going by road is a long 20km climb from Stresa but it's good fun if the weathers ok. When you reach 1500m you're at Alpiland and the best bit is the Toboggan, it's great... More
