Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were staying opposite this park and so we wandered through it quite a few times, it was lovely for an evening walk and at the time we were there musical notes were beaming onto the walkway and Maria Callas was singing in the background. You can walk through up to a viewpoint to watch the sunset across the water and walk back via a small monastery. There is a little train that also goes up and down alongside the park towards the Catullo Caves. We did venture over during the daytime, on one of the days, and some people were chilling under the shade of the trees.

Nice walk in a quiet park... getting away for just a short stroll and the views.
Nothing remarkable - park named after a famous Italian personality...

Parco Maria Callas is situated in Sirmione not far from the 5-star Villa Cortina Palace. The park is quite small but does provide shade and escape from the busier side of Sirmione during the peak holiday season. My disappointment with this attraction is the house in which Maria Callas lived in between 1950 until 1959. It is such a shame that this historic building has been turned into apartments and is not accessible to the general public. The building is now painted a light yellow and was bought for Maria by her husband Giovanni Battista Meneghini. There is part of the house which has an elevated section which is where Maria is supposedly have practised and perfected her beautiful operatic soprano voice whilst viewing the panoramic vista of Lake Garda. In my opinion this building would have made a wonderful museum dedicated to Maria’s time in Italy. Alas this was not meant to be. However, the small park is dedicated to her.

We went for a early evening walk through here before dinner. What we found was a lovely little park with a number of paths, of which some lead you to the beach and others through the park. If you are looking for a nice relaxing walk whilst visiting Sirimone you will enjoy this little park.

What a delight to come across this special place. Music is something close to my heart and maria Callas was someone my father listened to constantly. To know she lived here was a lovely surprise to discover as we walked through the neighbourhood.

Friends who are booked to go there in August asked us to look into and report upon their chosen hotel, The Villa Cortina Palace Hotel. Well, we looked it up on the net and took a virtual walk towards it... so we knew where to look... but when we did get to the massive gates and fenced in-ness, against the lowly community, the Villa Cortina was found to be a virtual entity of total isolation, a five star hotel, closed to non-residents.
Save, of course, to non-ressers, who might venture into the highly upmarket jetty-side flamehouse of a restaurant down at the end of Parco Maria Callas. The park itself is a haven of tranquility and cool... and you can get an idea what life might be like in the mighty villa over the fence. The park is easy to find and, on a hot day, it is not only cool, it is cool !!
Well worth a visit...and free.
Back ro the Villa Cortina, I would award no stars to a structure purporting to be a hotel... which disallows a well-dressed and capable couple to assess its possible suitability as to a future plce to stay during one's future travels.

We passed by here in May 2012, but never entered. We were on a tour with limited time in Sirmione, but we did see it and then stopped at Maria Callas' home too. It was gated off when we were there. The pictures I took were from standing against the gate and peering in. There are statues and many trees. Looked peaceful.

Just north of the main part of the town is this lovely park. It is a really nice and peaceful place to wonder around including some great shaded areas on the hot summer days.
