The Broletto is located just next to the cathedral. It dates back to medieval times, when it was used as the municipality of Como. Its most striking feature are the ancient arches, which have been lovingly restored to their original look, from several centuries ago.

Building boasts a Gothic façade with polychrome marble from the quarries of Lake Como, flanked by ca ivic tower made of rusticated stone. The building was erected in 1215. If you walk by stop for a while and have a look at it, if it is open go inside.
