I've seen Notre Dame, the cathedrals of Cologne, Ulm, Strasbourg, and countless other doms mostly across Germany or Ireland and this was a nice one. The artwork and detail is top-notch and worth a peak if walking thru town.

We went to the Sunday service. It was beautiful. It was in Italian of course so I did not understand much. I loved the building, the incense, the chanting/singing. We then had coffee outside and listen to the bells and some amazing music by street...More

The cathedral is quite impressive: more from outside than inside. The building offers heeps of changing perspectives .... We could almost not stop taking pictures. If you have got enough time visit il Duomo during night time as well.

Even if you are not Catholic it is a place to visit. The frescos are outstanding. The building itself is a must see. Consider when it was built it is a world away from anything else

Wasn't really expecting such a grand duomo in a small town like Como but very impressive. The exterior especially was amazing with dozens of full scale figures in niches along the belltower.

Thus us our second visit. The cathedral is very beautiful with some lovely hangings. The security people seemed to be very keen to get you to cover up your arms so bring a cover up.

A beautiful example of a Gothic Cathedral, the detailing on the outside is exquisite. When we got inside it seemed to be very large, where we entered it looked fairly small and then couldn't believe how big it was inside. So much to see from...More

Very inspiring! Not very big but great interiors. We went in during a mass and really enjoyed the atmosphere. The organ player had a very good voice along with very skillful hands.

The tourist entrance is used when the Duomo is in Service so non-participating guests will not interrupt the religious program.
