Driving to Lake Como from Milan was very interesting. The road along the lake is narrow and somewhat challenging with speeding traffic from the opposite direction. Nevertheless it is very scenic drive and worth every nerve.

Situated at the base of the lake, you will need a good day to visit and to see all the sites. Move away from the harbour and explore all the back streets and churches.

Hi , I have never visited in April but I don’t think you will be disappointed as it’s so beautiful all year round. The temperatures should be rising in April , so I would imagine it would be beautiful.
