So glad we chose to stay here. It is right in the middle of Portofino and Rapallo. Easy bus to Portofino or Rapallo. Easy to get to train. Walk along the waterfront at night and stop for Gellato. Nice size public beach.

Parked the car in Rapallo and took the ferry to Portofino then decided to walk back. Stopped at Santa Margherita Ligure for an Aperol. Very friendly people and quaint town

Charming and enough to do and see. Great spot for a base to tour the areas north to Genoa and south to the Cinque Terre. The train system is very effective when travelling all around. We made our way here from Milan airport.

Everyone seems to talk about Portofino but Santa Margherita Ligure is the place to see. Train station in town and easy to get around. Great food and views.

Loved Santa Margarita. It’s a walk to Portofino with so much to do. We totally enjoyed our time there. We have recommended this to many of our friends and would definitely go back.
