A defensive castle on the sea-front at Rapallo. It's over 450 years old and is used by the municipality of Rapallo for art exhibitions etc. Looks wonderful when lit at night.

A beautiful old Castello, used for an art exhibition during our time in Rapallo. Very impressive and worth the visit.

Wonderful when it is illuminated in the evening, they use modern machines to electrically light fires and ultra -precise fuses "to light up" the wonderful castle of Rapallo.. it looks like in ancient times, as far as smoking stripes of black powder with canons and...More

The 16th century castle is defenitely Rapallo's landmark. Walking along the boulevard, you can't miss it, even though it's not a huge structure. If you're lucky, you can walk in for free to visit an art exhibition.

Small fortress castle in the harbor of beautiful and captivating Rapallo. Easy to walk to while enjoying the coastline promenade and as well it was free of charge to enter. I especially enjoyed my visit because of the wonderful art exhibition being held inside on...More

Such a iconic symbol of the Rapallo coastline, we were delighted that it was open at the weekend for an exhibition. Entrance was free and although the artwork was of a very questionable (poor) quality, the opportunity to take a look around the castle itself...More

The essential attraction of Rapallo is the overall feel which certainly gets four stars. However, there is no single sight in the centre of Rapallo which warrants more than three stars, and the castle is typical of this.

We saw it on an evening stroll on a warm August evening in Rapallo, an imposing an iconic presence on the Lungomare.
