The essential attraction of Rapallo is the overall feel which certainly gets four stars. However, there is no single sight in the centre of Rapallo which warrants more than three stars, and the castle is typical of this.

We saw it on an evening stroll on a warm August evening in Rapallo, an imposing an iconic presence on the Lungomare.

We were recommended this restarting/bar but was slightly disappointed. Great location, and we had a table outside on a very warm evening. The wine was very nice, but the bruschetta menu was a little lacking.

I was here 40 years ago and it felt like I never left. Beautiful marker on the coast. It was a pity that we couldn’t get in because of the fact there was an exposition (only 9 – 11 PM).

Even if you can't go in the castle of Rapallo it's the little simbol that represent the see walk!! If you have the chance to go at the begin of July you will see it "burning" under fireworks!! It's a must to see!

It gives a great touch to the fantastic view at Rapallo's waterfront. The small old stone castle is built on the water (just off shore) making it a unique view with the colorful houses and the see of beautiful Rapallo. You wont miss it,

This is one of the coolest landmarks in Rapallo. Built in 1550...and still going strong! It is probably one of the most photographed and recognizable images in the area. It is also keenly lit at night, and the up-lighting gives it a dramatic look. Definitely...More

Small but perfectly formed! Some lovely bars to sit and watch the sunset and enjoy a drink looking at the beautiful castle...

This castle isn't a large castle, but after looking at it daily for a week it is a joy to look at. Rapallo has much to offer and taking a few minutes to checkout this sight is well worth it. Try taking a dip in...More
