Although beautiful and scenic, Vernazza seems to be the 1st destination of all tourists, bus tours and groups. It gets busy real fast - even in mid-October. We had to come back early in the morning to enjoy its beauty. All worth it.

The peal of the 5. Please make sure you are arriving by boat so you may observe the full beauty of this magnificent village. For hikers, it is possible to climb down to this site from one of the near by villages. Don't miss it....More

After the climb it's the view that your've been waiting to see. Or you could take the train which is only 5 minutes from Monterosso.

If Disney would have to come up with an Italian village at the sea side, he would vome up with Vernazza. Beautiful little village like it used to be. BUT... it's Cinque Terre. So, the village is flooded with tourists. We were there in October...More

Mount St. Michel, France; Grand Canyon, U.S.A. Like these other places, a photo of the Cinque Terre once jumped off a website and captured my imagination. It took years, but this summer, we finally made it to this amazing UNESCO spot. The pictures, even in...More

This was our favorite of the 5 towns of the Cinque Terre! So quaint and everything is so close to the water.

We stayed 3 days in Vernazza and toured all 5 towns of cinque terre. Vernazza has the most spectacular look and the views to the sea from higher elevations are dramatic.

We choose to stay here for three nights and visited all five villages. I liked them and were happy that we had chosen to stay in Vernazza. It feels the oldest and very genuine though all five are beautiful, genuine and incredible busy. Riomaggiore and...More

I love that the best thing to do in Vernazza is Vernazza! Great place...beautiful town, walkable, with great views. Sure it's crowded, and sure getting to the Castello Doria is a hike straight up steps through narrow alleys, next to other tourists also sweating, breathing...More

Within the town? Not really. You could probably ride between the towns though.

The village is so small that you actually don't need any bus or crab. There's a lot of trains which make the connections with the biggest town such as La Speizia, Parma,... and with the others village (Riomaggiore... More
