In Cinque Terre You can take shorter walks within the villages or take the hiking paths between the villages. Dawn Tower has lovely views to the sea and to the village as well.

A big rectangular stone tower, without windows, overlooking the sea, was it an observatory tower for the port, or against the pirates ? perhaps, I don't know, it is an impressive tower in the landscape with mediterranian vegetation around.

This is a Medieval Era Clock Tower and can be seen from quite a long distance.This is one of the emblems of the town that is just not to be missed. Also the sea view is wonderful

It's just a short hike from the beach to Dawn Tower & it's definitely worth the walk for the views from the top.
