To,think that this theatre once overlooked the sea. It now overlooks the Police Station building in Trieste. Still a very nice example and quite well preserved in parts.

Yes, this was a fun find because I had no idea it was here! As I walked from the shoreline to the top of the hill, I walked upon this old Roman theater! It was totally unexpected, but I was very happy to see this...More

Finding a roman theatre in the middle of Trieste is quiet a surprise. It's a nice little theatre and you can admire it from the sidewalk.

This is a small, by Roman standards Amphitheatre, and semi complete. Unfortunately you can only look from the Street and not walk around the Amphitheatre. Still worth a look.

This ancient Roman Theater was interesting but was no big deal. Had to view the theater through a wire fence. The theater was in somewhat good condition however. Very little information could be found about the theater. You do have to spend too much time...More

Rather well preserved and conveniently located, Teatro Romano di Trieste makes for a nice destination. It is not on the same level of its counterpart in Verona, but is still quite interesting. It would be very instigating to be able to enter and roam the...More
