What was once a high walled back of the stage parallels the street. The existence of a wall is indicated by a few blocks. As a result you can see the seating area that goes up the hillside and now has a considerable amount of vegetation covering the stones. You can hike up a side street or steps to the... More

This place is easy to find (especially if you've just had the best gelatto at Gellatto Marco) and it bears so much history. As a creative, it helps you remember how important the past has been for your vocation.

We were only in Trieste one day and one night but I would return for longer longer time in a heartbeat. And this Teatro as an example of why. Trieste has quite a story to be told.

It looks quite well preserved. Its a semi circle of seating looking down onto a central area.It was closed when we walked past but can be seen very easyly from the street.

These ruins make for an interesting quick stop on a walking tour of Trieste. Reasonably well preserved it's easy enough to make out the structure of the theatre. You can't actually walk on the ruins, which is probably a good thing in aiding their ongoing preservation.

A nice historical theater in the center of the city. While nothing spectacular they've done the most with what they have, and preserve the relic by keeping visitors off the main area, only to enjoy it in passing.

Well we aimed to view these ruins on our adventures around Trieste. They are very well preserved/rebuilt, none of us could agree how original it all was. Still it is tucked away and a good spot to sit and rest for five minutes before continuing on your journey, worth a look.

While walking around Trieste, after a long day of visiting the Miramare and Duino castles, I came upon this place by accident. Over here, I saw that this place was well-preserved among the rest of the city.
