The right place for having a coffee or something to eat when you're walking through the city in a hot summer day.

Well worth a look. Nice water ways. Nice strolls around the city. Be careful with the locals. We think we nearly had our bag stolen. Some very dodgy people in the city. It's a shame unemployment is so high.

This is a nice place to visit and take a walk around. It doesn't take long and is probably the best or second best thing to do in the city

The canal is nice to see, but not really a highlight. The buildings and also the canal as such are not very special.

Its name is most probably after the Canale Grande in Venice, but not to compare with it. It is a small channel with coffe chops and restaurants on the shores, two churches and some beautiful palaces around.

If You are in the center of Trieste most probabbly You will not miss it. The name is from past, and now he seems not so "Grande" but still have that historic touch.. Only thing that is not so nice is that some times it smells badly...

If you are wanting to walk and shop in Trieste, you will probably come across the Grand Canal, It used to be grander and longer...now it does come into the city a bit. There isn't much to see.

Very pretty with the magnificent Palazzo Gopcevic (which is home to a rich museum of theatre and musical instruments) on one side, the magnificent Serbo Othodox church on the other, and pretty sidewalk cafes and restaurants where it is especially romantic to sit in on a warm summer evening. Fans of James Joyce can admire the bronze statue on the... More
