We took the bus up the hill but got off at the location indicated on Google maps. It was one spot too soon. The bus continues around the hill top and stops right next to the Cathedrale di San Giusti, which is close to the...More

I felt the best thing about it was the view of forum, cathedral, town and sea. Also a small payable exhibition and a free one of monumental inscriptions (underground - good for escaping the heat)

Not much to see here. The only highlight is the view of Trieste which you can get without paying an entry fee. Use that money for the taxi up the hill to see the adjacent cathedral.

Very nice but so many children from school trips that it ruined the experience. Probably because of the time of year Last week of April. The staff seemed rude but again I think the number of school tours might have caused this temperament.

The castle offer a nice view on the city of Trieste. The museum is very small and not so interesting to be honest, but for 3€ it deserves a visit.

Trieste has so much history. This was a great experience for us. The hike up and exploring the old steps and streets was gorgeous. The kids enjoyed seeing all the beauty. Go on a nice sunny day for beautiful photos at the top.

The Castello San Giusto is a steep uphill walk from the center of Trieste and worth every step. You are surrounded by history going back to Roman times, a history that includes the medieval Castello as well as emotionally moving plaques and memorials to those...More

The best choice is to take the elevator into the parking backside Unità square. Then go downhill by feet in around 10 minutes. The bus ticket in 2017 is 1,25 euros for 60'
