Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Passo Delle Streghe is a paved stone path that connects the First Tower aka Guaita with the Second Tower aka the Castello della Cesta. The name of the path comes from a local legend that this was a gathering place for witches around large fires to perform mysterious rituals. That's the gist, but I don't want to ruin the full story. The path is a photogenic spot with stunning views of Castello della Cesta and the Adriatic Sea.

Passo delle streghe is an interesting narrow passage on the slope on the San Marino Crest along a narrow and steep path between the first (Torre Guaita) and the second ( Cesta Torre) tower. The sunset seen from the this place is amazing, the passage of the witches ( passo delle streghe ) can prove really suggestive. This intresting place symbolizes the charm of the ancient city in the our hearts. The view of the valley and Rimini from this place is breathtaking. It was named after the strange phenomena that occurred in the passage between the towers. It is said that in the Middle Ages witches gathered here to practice their magic rituals. Legend has it that the witches used to gather here during the nights and that at the first light of the morning they turned into black cats that fled in all directions. For this reason the inhabitants of the vicinity were usual to chase away the black cats, because they would have been nothing other than the harmless witches.

This is a well-marked path that links the three towers - great for a walk from tower one to tower three.

Be ready to have a good steep walk heading towards the tower. When we reached the close by parking we asked if the road uphill is stroller friendly. We were told that it's steep by manageable if you don't have a choice (like you wouldn't like to carry your kids!!)
We reached there in a cloudy day and the view from the top was breathtaking. Highly recommend it to people who love history as well as scenery views.

Just after passing the Guaita, or the first tower, starts this impressive walk, a narrow staircase in the rock, right on the edge of Mount Titano. Impressive views towards Rimini. Not for the faint hearted or with fear of heights. You can continue with a walk towards the second tower, and if you wear suitable shoes, go towards the third tower then go down to the Casino. It’s a beautiful walk that shouldn’t take more than an hour from the first tower to the Casino. Numerous vantage points for amazing photos

The pathway that connects the Rocca Gualta and the Torre Cesta is known as The Witches Pass. According to the legend, the witches used to gather here during the nights and in the morning, they fled in all directions, turned into the black cats. That is the reason why inhabitants avoid the black cats, which is a superstition spread all over the world. However, this is a nice walk with a great view!

Lovely Old Village/Province, Worth going to the castles and the restaurants have fantastic views. The winding old roads and shops are very quaint.
