Historical places in Rimini

Perhaps they aren't the most spectacular places I've seen in my life but I must admit the contact with such rich history always makes me absolutely speechless!

A nice square with a building reminiscent of the Doge's Palace in St Mark's Square in Venice. Check out the statue of Pope Paul V or is it Paul Hollywood (Great British Bake Off)?!

An interesting square with many touristic attractions. It has a big shade for a hot summer days (although it is partial). I would like to point out an Ice cream shop - Gelateria and wide space for kids to play and run.

This square is very famous, surrounded by restaurants, shops and public buildings. Is part of the heart of old Rimini. Used for markets, fairs, and meeting spot. Beautiful fountain located in the Plaza.

Despite the low season this square is worth the visit. I particularly enjoyed sitting at a terrace sipping a cappuccino and looking at the local people.

This is a lovely little piazza in the centre of the old town and worth a visit. There are just a few little restaurants on the square and a few shops... Some of the photos make it look quite big, it really isn't but it's beautiful and the funny cone fountain worth a look!!

This vibrant square is the heart of the city's administration and located in the historic center of Rimini. It gained its importance in the Middle Ages with the building of the majestic Romanesque/ Gothic style Palazzo dell' Arengo by the city mayor in 1207. Next to it stands the medieval Palazzo del Podesta or ex- City Hall from 1334 with... More

This piazza is nice. It is fairly basic, but it is in the heart of the old town of Rimini. The fountain is beautiful and large. The people are pleasant.

We had a delightful hour here over lunch today. We were at the south end of the piazza and thus were in the sun. We passed a canopied restaurant in the centre coming in to the area where a lady was trying to dispatch 3 aggressive pigeons so beware!

Near tiberius bridge, piazza cavour has great architecture building and some restaurants. We have seated on a bank there and enjoyed this historical square.
