Will review the Ravenna Mosaics generally as is difficult to just pick one as a favorite, they are all so amazing, and historically significant. It is definitely worth the time spending a few days in Ravenna seeing the various mosaics and walking the historical district...More

This was a nice visit. While similar to another in Ravenna it is different as well as older. Too bad the church in front is not open.

The Arian Baptistery was built by King Theodoric in the early 6th century. The mosaic depicting a scene of the baptism of Jesus with figures of the apostles around it adorns the building's dome. Entry tickets can be bought in the machine near the entrance...More

Stunning mosaics - even better than the pictures! Worth spending time in and getting to know the fascinating history behind the world class mosaics.

Though the Lonely Planet guide for Italy published last year in 2016 indicated that this attraction was free, today it is 1€ to see a very small old church with some magnificent mosaics on the ceiling. It was empty when I came to see it...More

See same for Battistero Neonianio -these are all UNESCO heritage sites and rightly so. All 5 and the main museums are all worth visiting.

Impressive golden ceiling in a small room. 1 Euro admission fee from the adjacent ticket machine. Quick pit stop on the sightseeing route.

Another mosaic masterpiece testimony of early ages high level skills for this type of art. It is good that we still have those examples in our days! Must to visit if you are in Ravenna

Very interesting place, one of the not so many examples of Arian (as in early Christian branch) art; I don't think there are many similar places, in Italy or elsewhere. Beautiful, detailed scenes depicted in mosaics. Entrance is free. Close to other interesting, mosaic-adorned sites.
