A nice view of floor mosaics recovered from a Byzantine palace. However not worth the 4 euro price at the time of our visit in my opinion. Probably something for specialists

This is definitely worth the visit. A recent discovery that gives you a sense of the history that is laying just a few meters under your feet as you walk through Ravenna. The Roman estate that was uncovered comes to life as you walk through...More

These floors were only excavated a few years ago so they don't even appear in some guidebooks! But if you are a connoisseur of Roman art, these are quite wonderful. You enter through a rather scruffy little church into a small paydesk area and gift...More

It was included in my ticket of the TAMO during the Notte D'Oro, and it was quite interesting. It was a major discovery in the history of mosaics. I recommend going.

This is a great place to visit to admire the old mosaic floor from the Roman times. Should not take more than 10 mins to visit.

The "Newer" church above the ancient site is unspectacular, but you can imagine life in this area during Roman times. I find it fascinating that the street levels have risen so much since ancient times. The site was used for Medieval burials many hundred years...More

This is a series of floors from a villa. They are mainly geometric and look wonderful. Spend some time looking at them and the flaws in the design start to appear. This gives it a real human feel, you could almost tell where different workmen...More

Some beautiful floor mosaics worth checking out especially the one that included figures in a dance.

Extraordinarily well preserved mosaics from a Roman domus from the fifth-sixth centuries. Images are fascinating: they are not only pagan, they have curious contradictions. Geometric patterns are mostly what the floors are about but the impact is still stunning.

Great place to escape heat. Under a Church. Don't pay full single ticket price, but get the 3 attractions for 7 Euros (single 4Euro). It's not long, but good mosaics and view of a rich Roman villa split in between by a road. Only the...More
