Unfortunately, the Nettune fountain was undergoing renovation. What a fabulous square, Bologna is a beautiful city. Especially enjoyed the 'burning of old man 2016' on the square!

A big place with monumental buildings, a generous palace...After they visited the beautiful city of Bologna, the tourists stop on San Petronio basilica stairs and watch all this beautiful architectural ensemble. The statue of Neptune dominates its center.

We had trouble finding the tourist office but it is in the main square! If you use the Welcome Card - good value, it is worth using the included walk/tour.

The only negative thing was that the big clock on the tower was 2 minutes late so if you paid attention to the clock you... More
