Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This street now has a tribute to John Lennon based on the song Imagine. Walking up and down brought back fond memories of this song and visiting the street, which is very close to Piazza Maggiore is worthwhile. There are interesting shops, cafes and restaurants along the way. The text of the song lights up at night.

This is a north-south street that runs from Piazza Maggiore (north) down to Viale Antonio Aldini (South). Since the late 19th-century it has been named after Italian writer, painter, statesman (1798-1866).

These days this is a popular shopping and hangout street, busiest as you near Piazza Maggiore. You will find retail shops, eateries and the likes. Even Starbucks has recently opened a place along Via Massimo. Lucia Dalla's house is located at a small piazza off Via Massimo d'Azeglio as well.

The street now honors John Lennon and Imagine in neon lights all up and down the road. Fun to walk and sing along with each line. A fun street to visit anyway.

Via Massimo D'Azeglio is pretty central, near the main square, and it's full of beautiful buildings and nice shops. Even if you don't plan to go there to see Lucio Dalla's house, I would recommend you walk it on your way to wherever you're going.

Lucio Dalla lived in this street for the last years of his life. After his death every year in December they put up Christmas lights with his songs. Last December, however, the bright songs were those of John Lennon, a questionable choice that left the people of Bologna perplexed and not only them. The street is not very beautiful. It's narrow, with a few noteworthy shops and some old-time cafes. In Bologna there are more beautiful and more characteristic streets than this one. The advantage of via D'Azeglio is that it is very central, given that it starts in Piazza Maggiore.

It's a back street near Basilica di San Petronio and Basilica Patriarcale di San Domenico. It's lined with leather goods shops, boutiques and snack shops, and it's a great place to stroll and enjoy the atmosphere.

It is already the fourth time that I go to Bologna to see the lights with the words of the songs in via D'Azeglio but this year they were not there, the street with very basic lighting, I was very disappointed with this, thank goodness for Bologna it's a fantastic city and therefore it's always a pleasure to visit it ❤️
