Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Via Zamboni is a historic 1 km-long street leading from the Two Towers to Porta San Donato, running through the whole university area.

The street is named after Luigi Zamboni, an 18th-century Italian patriot, a student at Bologna University and founder of the Italian tricolor.

Along this road, you can find many sights. The pavements are covered with arcades, which is nice in the summer heat.

It starts ffrom the Due Torre and runs through the whole university area. Almost the whole street is covered with arcades. There are a lot to see on the way when you walk.

This area runs right through the university so there are lots of students and not much for tourists to do.

We walked down this street on our way to a few of the university museums. We were there in summer - but there were still many university students there.

A little bit of a rougher area at night but pretty during the day. The heart of the University of Bologna

This main street runs from next to the iconic Two Towers all the way down to where the Pinoteca Nazionale art gallery is located, passing the Opera House and going through the Piazza Giuseppe Verdi on the way. It’s covered pavement arcades are impressive, but the overall feel is slightly edgy, with lots of students and other young people hanging around. Not sure I’d walk down here late at night or on my own. But it has some impressive buildings on either side.

The various faculties of Bologna University are located along Via Zamboni (one end starts where the twin towers are).

As well as student bars & restaurants, the street is packed with history. It's especially worth having a peek at some of the stunning courtyards inside university buildings, which can be seen from the street.
