The cathedral looks fantastic from the outside. Note that the cathedral is still closed after the earthquake of August 2016 damaged the dome. We were told it would be closed for a year. Ŵe would have loved to have seen inside.

Urbino village is a nice place to stay. Nice environment to walk around The cathedral is quite interesting and inspired me to self reflect on all impressions I encountered the last few days.

We spent much longer inside the church then what we initially had intended. It is a magnificent church with a beautiful color scheme. The tranquility inside is very soothing.

The whole town of Urbino is set on the rolling hills of the Marches. The church is opposite the Dukes Castle. The whole experience was breath taking

This impressive building was re built after a hearthquake on the original church of previous ages. The new structure is clean net neoclassical pure style. But in the side chapels that remain since the original building you have an explosion of a completely different style....More
