I was there on my way to the points I wanted to see. What can you do in a port? Some people here comment as if it's a museum-well, it's not, it's a big parking space for ships. We had fun as they were repairing...More

One of the most unorganized ports I have ever visited. The check-in area is situated away from the train station. A taxi driver asked 25 euros to take us to the check -in area and then to the port! The buses did not have air-condition...More

Great to lookout over the harbour and watch the Adriatic ferries coming and going. Interesting too is the bustle and progress on the Viking Cruise Boats being built in the adjacent shipyard.

Love the nature there and the hills as well. I was leaving to Greece on the boat. Nice people and everything was easy.

This port has been significant already at ancient times. And it still is. There are some old structure to be seen, particularly if you decide to go to the top, the church overlooking the port.

If you like working ports you'll love Ancona. And you can walk right out past roman walls and arches while you watch the ferries and cargo ships set off for Greece and Turkey.

Driving towards the port, you cannot but appreciate the immensity of the Barducci Landslide, where the land slipped towards the sea with ruinous consequences. That aside, what takes your breath away is the cathedral of St. Ciriaco,up on Guasco hill. It is an unforgettable view. The presence of...More
