A symbolic place, which seems a bit mysterious. The inside of the duomo is very wonderful, with organ music playing and the typical smell of church. The duomo is not touristic at all, which made us be alone in this duomo with one old italian...More

After the hub-bub of crowds encountered while visiting most of the churches in Rome, this one is like a quiet oasis.

This romanesque church with its frescos is a breathtakingly beautiful church. It seems to be open and easily accessible during the day. Don't forget a one Euro coin to turn the lights on. It is well worth it. Don't miss the nearby Casa Gotica.

This is a good example of a duomo in Italy. Not spectacular like St. Peter's of course, but no stair climbing either. All in all a peaceful place to take a rest on your travels.
