The Villa itself is pretty but the major attraction is the gardens and fountains, which are amazing. It is something that reminds me of Rivendell in the Tolkien books - simply beautiful. I recommend a visit to anyone in the region.

Part of a tour from Enjoy Rome. This is something so worth seeing. Not far from the city in Tivoli. Such beautiful gardens.

I had heard about the Tivoli gardens years back and was eager to visit. I was disappointed though - the place seemed underfunded and getting a bit tired. The house is empty and not really worth visiting, except for some fine views of the gardens...More

Admittedly we travelled for 3 hours from further north in Italy and it was a boiling hot day (40degrees), and there'd been an almighty traffic jam to get into Tivoli and the parking was a bit stressful to negotiate, and the ladies at the front...More

I rode the train (2.6E each way) to and from Rome. Left from Termini but returned to Tiburtina. Just check the schedule to see what you need. Walked from the train station once we arrived in Tivoli. Gregoriana is on it's way... More
