Located southeast of the Stadio Palatino lay the ruins of Domus Severiana. This last extension of the Imperial Palace was constructed circa early 3rd Century AD.

The final extension of the imperial palaces on the Palatine Hill was built at the beginning of the 3rd century, during the reign of Septimus Severus. Today, there are very few remains of the building, just and imposing brick structure.
