We entered the restaurant and wanted to go into the hall, but the woman at the entrance detained us and scolded us that we wanted to come in. It turns out we have to stand by the front door and wait. Then we were allowed to go into the hall. The waiter gave us a menu. We waited 20 minutes. Nobody came to us. There were no visitors in the restaurant. We were alone. We will never go to this restaurant again.

This is our favorite place in the Spanish Steps area. Unique ambiance, excellent location, super service and good food. We keep going back any time of the day, every time we are in the area.

First Night in Rome, Nice Ambience!
Mar. 2019 • Family
Our first two nights in Rome were near the Piazza del Popolo, and this place was on my list for dinner suggestions as who can pass up a museum and restaurant in one? As it turned out, the museum was closed, but the evening atmosphere was wonderful. We sat outside and enjoyed our meals. I wanted the carbonara, which was an affordable 13 euros. When the waiter suggested the special--sea bass--I asked about the price, and I thought he said "thirteen," so I changed my mind. (In my previous dining experiences in Western Europe, the specials were fresh and affordable, so it sounded like a good deal. My sister got the carbonara, so we could share.) Both meals were good, but a bit salty for our tastes. When I got the bill, I saw that the sea bass was 30 euros. When I asked about it, the waiter repeated himself, and since he had a slight lisp, he did sound like he was saying, "thirteen." I paid the price without a fuss as it was enjoyable, but I would not have ordered the sea bass for that price. Again, it was a good meal set in a great place.

Slight disappointment

Wasn’t the best place to eat. How can an Italian restaurant NOT sell pizza. If pizza was an option I would have given a 5 star rating!

Had no idea this was a restaurant or a museum... but was staying right down the block and was having a hard time walking any further… So we ate here… It was so fabulous that we went back the next night… First night we got fettuccine carbonara...I asked for the bacon to be cooked crisp and it was… It is a flavor that is lingering in my mouth…I have got to learn the recipe and try to reproduce it… It was the best… My husband had A lemon pasta dish that was also outrageous … The next night we ordered fillet mignon at the advice of the waiter… I was a little hesitant not knowing how the beef would be… But it was seasoned perfectly cooked perfectly and tasted wonderful… if you are near by...you have to go...and please bring me the recipe...

Surpise Museum/Restaurant!
Apr. 2018 • Couples
We were walking by when I spotted this restaurant/museum. There were so many sculptures that it looked like they were spilling out into the street. A huge statue of a cavalier mounted on his horse graces the entrance and calls you in. So, I went in and asked if we could photograph the interior. They graciously agreed. The amount of art work was astounding. Every inch is covered with something. Antonio Canova, the greatest sculptor of Italian Neoclassicism, established the studio that he later left to his favorite apprentice, Adamo Tasolini, who in turn passed it on to his descendants, who were also talented sculptors. The atelier belonged to Tasolini’s family until 1967. On our next trip, we will plan to dine here and really have time to take in all the artwork in this most unusual setting.

Nice and original setting, cafe and restaurant full of statues. Also a museum but you can't really walk around as waiters might chase you away, even if you are a customer. Prices rather high, tea as of 7 euro fifty.

Central Rome. A lovely restaurant full of marble statues.
Staff very polite and helpful. Very welcoming.
Fantastic bread - not easy to find in many Italian cities.
It was the beginning of the Porcini season and I had fresh fettuccini with fresh porcini ! Delicious and abundant and for €18 I thought it was worth it. Porcini are costly. There were other pasta dishes on the menu at half the price.
Lots of nooks and crannies for people to eat quietly with out feeling crowded. You can also eat outside.
Good red wine. I can't comment on the white as I didn't try it.
Dessert to die for: Try their Mont Blanc creation. This consists of meringue, whipped cream with a chestnut filling. Fabulous.
