We came across Palazzo delle Esposizioni by chance, while walking the streets of the city. We did not go inside, but only had a look from the outside, as we were there early morning and on our way elsewhere. The building itself is quite nice...More

On Via Nazionale these beautiful building offers special exhbitions, right now the Hollywood Icons. The exhibition was interesting but mostly for AMericans - there were not too many tourists from other countries.

It's a nice venue, and cheap entry at 8 euros, but we were a little disappointed by the collection. It had hardly anything on Bette Davis or Judy Garland, which seems odd for something about Hollywood icons.

This is a beautiful collection of photographs, mostly black and white. There are some of the most famous shots of these icons. Prints are beautiful and well presented. I went late Tuesday night, and there were only three or four others in the gallery. It...More

On until 8 Jan. 2017 is the 16th Quadrennial, which is billed as "exploring the most significant trends in the panorama of the contemporary visual arts in Italy." This panorama is not to my taste, with a number of electronic-technologically-oriented works. If contemporary art is...More

If the two exhibits we saw -- the photos by Gardin and "The Caravaggio Experience" are any indication, the museum does a fabulous job of making art accessible and a real experience. You missed the Caravaggio Experience, but as another reviewer wrote, watch for it...More

We came for the photography exhibit of Gianni Berengo Gardin and eventually meandered upstairs tot he Caravaggio Experience. We suspect that this will become a traveling exhibition and if it comes to your city it should be at the top of your to-do list.

Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighbourhood just
west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as
it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet
for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season,
quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its
cobblestone streets. The neighbourhood supports unique
and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime
residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at
