This area is rather tourist friendly, can walk here on the cobbled street and actually see Roman history up close. It has very little traffic and a lot of restaurants that are not such tourist traps (although many of them do exist everywhere in Rome)....More

The main "Borgo" is Borgo Pio, which is mostly a no-car area, filled with nice restaurants (some are tourist trap, but what are you gonna do about it?), quiet bars and small shops. Full of priests walking around. In Springtime is delightful.
