The ideas behind this tour is simple, it is to create the greatest tour in Rome that encapsulates everything in one day. While the tour visits the most important spots in Rome, the tour also ensures to take you to places off the beaten track that most tours don't have time to include. It is inspiring, informative, caters for families and adults alike and it great fun. Jimmy's easy going nature and incredible passion for his job ensures that everyone goes home content is what should be one of the most interesting days of your life, spanning Rome's 2,700 year history, its food, and its culture. Jimmy is a historian, an artist and a food lover and all of these passions are central to his wonderful tour.

It has been more than two years since my wife and I visited Rome, but I still feel compelled to write a glowing review of Jimmy. We are not usually into guided tours, but we took Jimmy's Vatican tour to learn something in between all the great food and wine. Jimmy was so amazing that we signed up for the... More

When booking online you never know what you will be getting. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at our meeting point for our tour, to discover that my husband and I were the only two on the tour. I didn't think that the tour would run with only two people but we delighted that it did. Our tour guide... More

My girlfriend and I were fortunate enough to wander around with Jimmy for the better part of two hours exploring downtown Rome. As a guide, his breadth and depth of knowledge was fantastic, and it was all punctuated with good-natured humour. With an artist's eye for architecture and art history, Jimmy provided great insight into the historic buildings and works... More

We were lucky to have Jimmy all to ourselves on our tour date. The information he gave to us was in depth and provided us with an insight into the Roman world. The tour started a 12 and finished just before 5pm and we were not bored at anytime. If you are in Rome for a short period of time... More

This is a wonderfully entertaining tour. Jimmy's knowledge of this historical city is incredible and he has perfected the art of delivering it in such a humorous and interesting manner. Two hours felt like 10 minutes and regardless of the group's age or personal experience of Rome, I can't recommend this tour enough! Thank you Jimmy, it was a fabulous... More

I would highly recommend Jimmy and his team to you for the best way to explore Rome. Our family (2 adults & 21 & 18yr old) were cruising with Celebrity Cruises and arrived in Rome 24/8/13 where we met Jimmy just near the Colosseum. We were spoilt to be the only guests on this particular tour and so enjoyed his... More

We recently enjoyed a five hour tour with Jimmy around the familiar and some not so familiar sights of stunning Roma. Jimmy started by saying that we would have variety, and hopefully learn a lot...oh and by the way, there'd be time for Gelato and lunch! Straight away, you are delighted by Jimmy's natural charismatic charm, whilst at the same... More

John did our tour of the Vatican and Jimmy did our tour of the Colosseum. Both were excellent. They were so personable and very informative giving us information before our tour started and reiterating the information during the tour as well as pointing out highlights as we continued. They were able to answer any questions asked and made the sights... More

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo may look all street with its pulse in urban art and street food, but don’t be fooled. This gritty student neighbourhood immediately east of Termini train station is on the avant-garde rise. Art galleries, curated mural projects by artists like Rome’s favorite Alice, charming cafes, and boutique restaurants are slowly infiltrating the streets of San Lorenzo with counter-culture chic. Don’t worry, San Lorenzo still retains its local vibe with weekend festivals and demonstrations, and is always a hub for Rome’s university student scene.
