Walking up from the Pantheon we saw the beautiful facade of this apparently small church and were drawn through the open door. The interior was spectacular and gave a feeling of serenity and tranquility. Time to reflect, time to appreciate the art. Worth stopping in.

For years we just passed by on our way to gelato....now we stop in to admire and give thanks every time we are there. As another has said, it has a dazzling interior!

A unique style for Rome churches the Rococo facade is recognizable. The interior is also stylish with other architectural features. Only about 20 steps from Piazza Rotonda.

Not far from The Pantheon, you will find this interesting church. It is unusual because of its curved façade which was completed in 1735. Again, tourists do not flock to see this church. While most of the churches in Rome are dedicated to Mary, the...More

Soooo beautiful! The art inside is unbelievable. And the body of Saint Camillus is worth a look. My daughter said this was her favorite church of our entire visit to Rome, even more so than St. Peter's. Church closes promptly at 1 for a lunch...More

We just about missed this church on our way to the Pantheon. So serene and very beautiful. We spent more time in this chapel than we did at the Pantheon. Simply Stunning.

In contrast to the pantheon a couple of streets away, this church is the most breathtakingly beautiful and serene place. Please go, don't spoil the silence and make sure you donate!

Admire the 3 works of Caravaggio dedicated to St Matthew - in the chapel left of the altar. This is way better than an overcrowded museum ! You can marvel at Caravaggio's famous clair-obscur technique and see the paintings at the location where they were...More
