I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the exquisite artwork designed to bring glory to God in the basilica. The nave is usually quiet enough for reverent prayer even with tourists around.

Huge Basilica based on an original Michelangelo design and occupies part of the ancient Roman Baths of Diocletian. Many people don’t know this is here and just walk on by and ignore it, which is a pity as it is huge and splendidly ornate inside.
