You find the museum in the Great Synagogue of Rome. There are a lot of valuable artifacts. You will find a Spanish Synagogue inside the Museum too. You can learn a lot about the life of the Jews during the Nazis.

Go! This place is amazing, the museum is really special with lots of ancient Jewish items, there is explanations next to each item, and also a great intro to the Jewish heritage in Rome. Right by the museum is the great Synagogue, so for 7...More

The museum occupying a few rooms on the ground floor of the synagogue is small but the entry ticket of €13 includes the tour of the synagogue.

A very interesting and well detailed museum for Jews and non-Jews, outlining the history of the Roman ghetto and the modern day Jewish community.

The museum was very interesting with many unknown historical facts. There were many interesting pieces even though the museum is small. The synagogue was amazing but don't expect an ancient synagogue. Worth the visit.

In comparison to other ticketed attractions in rome, this would easily be the poorest.a very short visit to the synagogue,a lack of engagement by staff, and unable to stroll around at ones bidding. Artifacts in museum interesting but not gob smacking. Had been so keen...More

This is a good small informative museum of Jewish life. It is located in the basement of the Great Synagogue. We enjoyed the exhibits. An important aspect here is that they give free tours of the Great synagogue. They also give quite inexpensive yet extremely...More

Ghetto
The mini-neigbourhood Ghetto holds tight to its
reputation as a stand-alone area thanks to its nearly
300-year history as the home to Rome’s Jewish
community. Times changed in the 20th century, but the
tiny area still retains its mix of tradition,
community, and history. Ancient and medieval
architectural design frames apartments, bakeries,
shops, and restaurants. Friends and families are the
