You get about 45 minutes underground with a guide. The underground church is excellent but compared to Paris catacombs it is not quite as good. Paris had an audio guide and you got to see more, including bones. The Roman equivalent is just less involving,...More

This place is dark and musty but very interesting. Wall frescoes and oil lamps help tell stories of long ago. Lots of steps and this place is not accessible by wheelchair. You must take a tour. Our guide was great! very informative. No photos allowed....More

Nothing scary, but be aware that you move under the ground and in a narrow path. As long as your children are not afraid, you would enjoy it.

We found it easy to buy on arrival - we went later afternoon in late Oct (UK half term week) no problem or waiting around at all. Enjoy!
