We had an excellent experience with Artviva. Our guide was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. It was amazing how much history he knew and shared. I would absolutely book another tour with Artviva again! I checked "Not Sure" below regarding if the tour was suitable for all ages It was a lot of walking as the tour was about 6 hours... More

During a two week trip to Italy, we took a day to hike Mount Vesuvius and then tour Pompeii with a private guide, Elaria, from ArtViva. As an archaeologist, her passion for the culture and history were evident throughout the tour. We also appreciated her recommendation for a local restaurant where we enjoyed lunch. We would definitely recommend Elaria and... More

We were 2 couples, booked this tour in advance and that saved us a lot of hassle in getting tickets and standing in long queues. The tour started on time, the headsets worked perfectly, and our guide Loredana was very knowledgeable, interesting and helpful.

We had a private tour with Cate and enjoyed learning about the history of Florence and the wealthy families who ruled the city. Cate is extremely knowledgeable and friendly and we highly recommend seeing the city with her!!

English speaking Vatican tour with guide Savario was outstanding. I would recommend you ask to tour with him. Knowledgeable without being laborious. Good natured, witty and able to deftly move our group through the crowded spaces with ease to ensure we attained best vantage. A really enjoyable captivating guide. 5 stars. BRAVO.

Savario was an amazing guide. Really outstanding. This tour was the highlight of my Rome trip and I can't speak highly enough of Savario - make sure you ask for him by name.

We took 2 tours in Rome, 1 in Florence and 2 in Venice I'm reviewing each separately because they were different I always book ArtViva because of Rick Steves' recommendations and personal experience. The experience varies by the number of people in the tour. Usually they are small and I hate going in summer because it's hot and there are... More

We've had several tours with ArtViva--in Rome and in Florence. This one isn't so hot--at least the guide Florinda wasn't very good. It would take an exceptional guide to make the cattle call at the Vatican great--and Florinda was average at best. What is advertised as 3 hours was in fact about 2. The whole goal seemed to be to... Angelo is an outstanding guide. We had been to the Ufitzi before but with Angelo's knowledgeable tour it was stunningly different and a truly memorable experience. He was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. We couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable afternoon. We had a personal Renaissance thanks to Angelo and the Original & Best Walking Tours.
