Stella from Joy of Rome was so passionate and engaging as she guided our group of 8 adults, 3 children and 2 babies in pushchair around the Colosseum. The children (6,5 and 4 years old) were memorized as she described the battle scenes and asked them to imagine being a gladiator. To top off a thoroughly enjoyable couple of hours... More

I've been planning my trip to Rome for months, and unfortunately the release for the Coop Culture tour tickets fell under the radar for me. I went online the day after they were released and all were sold out. So if you are planning to see the Colosseum, go to their website months in advance to find out what day... More

Highly recommend this tour!! Reasonably priced and very friendly and helpful staff. Saved time and avoided the long lines for the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. Best part of the tour was our guide Dennis. Very knowledgeable when it came to the colosseum and the history of Rome. He managed to hold the attention of my two teenage daughters for... More

In full disclosure, we were in a bit of a rush as the coloseum was going to be closed for the 60th anniversary of the Rome Treaty. We found a "skip the line" tour that would get us in quickly. Quick was all we got. The guide lost half the group because he never stopped to see how the large... More

We were originally going to pre book our tour before we travelled, due to time and work I didn't. We arrived at the colleseum and were et by numerous guides. One stood out it was a man from Italy wonders. He was genuine and not too pushy. Got a great price then we were esscorted around the sites by a... More

Went to the Coliseum as you have to if you have flown all that way. It's obviously an ancient ruin and therefore loads of it missing but was alittle disappointed by it all ... didn't think it was that amazing... I maybe had a different ideas of what I would see. We paid for the guided tour, for two reasons... More

We had a great time on a tour of the Colosseum, Palatine Hill, and Roman Forum. Our tour guide "Fe" (Felicity), had tons of energy and did a wonderful job touring us around and teaching us all about the exciting history of Roma. We were there during the off season, so tickets were available the same day (not sure if... More

The 3 hour tour started at 11.30am so no problems getting across Rome early in the morning. Our guide was Denis, an archaeology graduate who had all of the information we could have wanted at his fingertips. He was happy to linger and answer questions from the small group - we never felt rushed. Even as we waited in the... More

We were in a small group of people led by a very knowledgeable guide. The young people probably found his detail about the technical side of building the Colosseum and the materials used not quite as interesting. It is quite unbelievable to be standing in the place of people who lived so long ago and finding out about the gladiators... More
