I booked this tour quickly, on the plane, as we flew into Rome. I thought we would be taking an architecture, art, and history tour, but we were thrilled to discover it was that and moreover FOOD! 7 delicious stops, and the small group (7 total plus our guide Roberta) made for a great evening. The food stops were all... More

Roberta was a wonderful guide and what a great way to start a stay in Rome. It was one of our favorite tours and we have already recommended it to our friends that are coming to Rome. A wide array of great food and everyone had a terrific time. You need to do this tour!

With Roberta Like a 5 course meal with a guided tour and 5 dinner parties. Great for orienting yourself early on in your trip. Roberta was great and we all got on well. We were stuffed! And tipsy. This is your fantastic evening meal with local cuisine and sight seeing combined. Wish we had booked another. Can't fault it.

I booked this tour prior to arriving in Rome. It turned out to be the highlight of our Rome visit. We visited and ate our way through the Jewish Quarter and the Campo de Fiori area of Rome. We met at Osteria Osteria Pane Vino e San Daniele located near the Turtle Fountain at Piazza Mattei. We sampled a red... More

We loved this tour! Roberta made all the difference! We were also looking to have a wonderful group that got along very well and had a lot of fun visiting all the different places in the Jewish ghetto Piazza Navona and Campo die Fiori at night . The pizza, the wine, the pasta, the artichokes, the desserts and the coffeee, everything... More

Did two tours - theJewish Ghetto evening tour & day tour of Navona area & Trevi Fountain etc. Really enjoyed the tours - food, drink & places we visited were really great. Roberta went out of her way to ensure we saw what we wanted and consumed what we wanted also with plenty of choice for everyone. As a solo... More

Excellent tour, Roberta was a fantastic guide, My wife made me do this tour as I would be nervous enough about trying new foods, I was delighted we went on the tour, All the food was excellent, My wife loved the fried artichoke and tiramisu stops while I reckon the pizza was the nicest pizza I have ever tasted. 4 hours of great Italian food and lots of information about the neighborhood. 7 stops: antipasti, artichoke, Pizza, soupe and pasta, tiramisu, coffee and icecream. We had a great time and enjoyed it a lot. Very good idea for first time visit of Rome.

We chose this tour over a degustation menu at a fancy restaurant to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and it was a great decision- from meeting our guide Roberta at piazza Mattei- the evening wove around food, drinks and excellent conversation through the backlanes, piazza,s and subterranean vaults in Search of Rome's culinary Delights- what could be more special than... Staying in Ghetto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ghetto
The mini-neigbourhood Ghetto holds tight to its reputation as a stand-alone area thanks to its nearly 300-year history as the home to Rome’s Jewish community. Times changed in the 20th century, but the tiny area still retains its mix of tradition, community, and history. Ancient and medieval architectural design frames apartments, bakeries, shops, and restaurants. Friends and families are the pulse of the neighbourhood, keeping company on the Via del Portico d’Ottavia. The Ghetto observes the traditional Jewish Shabbat: businesses close from Friday sundown to Saturday sundown.
