Favorite activity in Rome
Aug. 2021
My husband, son (14) and I did a pizza and gelato making class with Monica. It was our favorite activity in Rome. We had so much fun. My husband is gluten free and made 2 pizzas - to test out the crusts.

Amazing family fun time
Jun. 2021 • Family
Our experience with Chef Monica was amazing. We had this cooking class as a family activity on our first day in Rome. We had 3 kids ages 9 to 16, and everyone had a blast. Chef Monica was so good with the kids they could actually make their own pizza with no interference from us. Making the Tiramisu was the cherry on top of our experience. The ambience of the place was nice, the Chef and her helper were very friendly and entertaining. This class was the highlight of our days in Rome. We look forward to doing it again on our next trip to Italy!

Market and Cooking Class (Rome, Italy)
Feb. 2020
We did a 5 hour market tour and cooking class in Rome with Chef Monica and her Assistant Laura. It was the highlight of our trip! We got extremely lucky and were the only two in the class due to the slower season which made it extra special. We toured the beautiful market and a few local shops for supplies. All of which Monica had delicious details about their history in Rome to tell us. We made fond connections with both ladies in the only way to in Rome.....over food and wine! I'll take a class of Fabio's anytime I'm in Italy.

Cooking Class in a Medieval Town - FABULOUS experience!
Feb. 2020
What an amazing experience this was. Elisa (a trained chef and former restaurateur) and Roy were absolutely fabulous. They were extremely personable and made you feel totally comfortable right away and were also a TON of fun. It felt like were cooking at our friends house.
The cooking class is located in a picturesque medieval town about 40 minutes outside Rome city center (private transportation round-trip was of course included). You start the day shopping around the local markets in town, handpicking the ingredients for your dinner, while they explain the seasonality and traditions of Italian cooking and the recipes you will be preparing for the day.
The house was magical - beautifully renovated with an incredible view. Really a beautiful location and unique experience overall. The recipes were equally unique: three pastas (traditional and seasonal), an entree, dessert and plenty of wine and water. Everything was DELICIOUS. The amount and quality of the food and the experience in general was more than worth the value. This is truly a one-of-a-kind experience, not to mention one of the most memorable days I've had in Rome. I can't recommend this enough to anyone visiting!

Great fun day
Jan. 2020
This is the second time I took this class, I enjoyed it the first time with Fabio himself years ago, but this time his assistant gave the class and they were great, got picked up across from regis hotel and drove to the sweet little town of Mazzano, shopped for fresh ingredients, and learned some things, about tomatoes, broccoli, and artichokes. Class was such fun , drank some wine, and met some people, there were 5 of us a honeymoon couple, 2 friends, and me , so class is small . After we sat down to eat what we cooked and it was sooo much, you wont eat the rest of the day. This was a great day ! And great way to see and learn about Rome and some great recipes to take home and impress your friends and family. We made pizza, ravioli stuffed with artichoke and cheese with butter sauce , we made pasta and broccoli sauce, chicken dish, gnocchi , teramisu , a cant remember them all, The recipes will be emailed to you , and you can buy his book for 20 euros which I suggest you do, so bring 20e with you . I got one and so glad I did , I love it!!! We got to keep our apron and certificate too!!!!

Perfect cooking lesson of authentic Italian cuisine!
Dec. 2019
We enjoyed a wonderful half-day with Monica and her assistant learning all about authentic Italian and Roman cuisine. We started off the day at a local market, sourcing our ingredients from local vendors, before heading to the cooking studio. The space was beautiful and perfect for a private cooking lesson. Monica was engaging and knowledgeable and taught us the nuances of of Italian cooking. She also took pictures for us throughout the experience so we could focus on the tasks at hand while still capturing the memories. Definitely recommend this activity if you're visiting Rome!

My 2nd Time Here
Dec. 2019
My title alone tells you everything. I was here in 2016 & back again in 2019 with a different friend. I also had the same chef as last time, Vittoria, who is just wonderful. We made individual cups of lasagna - what a great idea. We also made ravioli, learned how to make homemade pasta & a delicious desert. Since I was there 3 years earlier Maite scheduled this one in a different location so I wasn't doing the same thing. The foods were also different.

This time there were only 4 of us. We walked through the market with Vittoria & everyone there knew her. She picked fresh veggies, fresh tomatoes, fresh bread, fresh cheese & of course our meats. You learn a lot & have wonderful memories for years after. You can also get the recipes online.

You won't be sorry if you book this. Plus you have the afternoon to continue your wandering around Rome.
