Chef Andrea is very fun and very knowledgeable. I learned so much about the history of food in Rome, learned about wine and general cooking knowledge that is very applicable. The food we cooked was delicious, the group environment was entertaining and I would definitely do this again! Thank you Chef Andrea for being so awesome. Maria and I will... More

This was absolutely our favorite experience of our multi-week Italy vacation. Chef Andre is amazingly patient and we easily re-created the recipes when we returned home last week. I booked the day for my 14yr old daughter and myself. She was worried that it would be all couples, but it was singles, families, and couples. You walk into a kitchen... More

Without a doubt, Cooking Classes in Rome was a highlight of my trip to not only Rome, but to Italy as well. Booking the class was extremely easy with Chef Andrea responding promptly to my emails and ensuring any questions I had were answered. Chef Andrea is personable, funny and incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to Roman cuisine and if... More

The class was informative, entertaining and also had delicious food! The group of participants were friendly and we all enjoyed each other's company. Best to take this class at the start of your stay in Rome as Chef Andrea has great advice about Roman Cuisine. Even if you can't take at the start of your stay I highly recommend this... More

I have dreamed of travelling to Italy for decades (no need to tell you how many...). So, with my 16 year old daughter at my side, off we went. Based on the amazing Trip Advisor reviews (560 fantastic reviews surely mean great things!), I booked the Cooking Classes in Rome for our first full day in Rome, mid-July; great choice!!... More

We decided to book a class for honeymoon after reading the fabulous reviews of the food and lesson. While those did impress, what truly earned Chef Andrea 5 stars is his amazing customer service! For reasons out of his control, the power would not come on on the day of our scheduled class. Since everyone was available or willing to... More

This cooking class was not only super fun but also very informational. Chef Andrea takes cooking very seriously, and he wants to share this passion with everyone in his class. Whether you're looking to learn about cooking in Italy or just want a good meal or a fun experience, this is the place to go for all of the above!... More

After taking a cooking class in Barcelona (for the first time,) our teenaged daughters asked about taking another in Rome. Fortunately Chef Andrea had space available. (Note - Chef was very timely with responses and we truly appreciated his willingness to seek / use input on menu items.) As it turned out, the other class participants were all young, too... More

This cooking class was one of the highlights of my trip to Rome! The reason why I took it, although my stay in Rome was very short, was that I wanted to learn to make fresh pasta and that it would be fun to say that I had learned it in Italy. The class was well organized and except for... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
