I have just enjoyed a fabulous Christmas break to Florence with my husband and two kids. I love history and art and so I found Florence an overwhelming city as there was so much to see! Taking a tour with Roman Empire Tours was the best decision we made!! The kids have never been to Italy before and our eldest... More

I HIGHLY recommenced Roman Empire Tours. It was hands down, one of the best experiences of my entire trip, in fact I wish that I had booked more tours through them. They were attentive and organised a tour that was EXACTLY what I wanted. My tour guide Simona (a very clued up, savvy Venetian local) opened my eyes to the... More

Booked tour of Spanish Steps to Trevi Fountain 10 months in advance via Touriocity Ltd only to have meeting place and time changed several times at the last minute. Was meant to be a twilight tour but was changed to so late this was meaningless. Eventually was asked to wait for another company guide from City Wonders who didn't have... More

Hi John, We are very sorry about this and the refund is being made with some extra to say sorry and we are offering you a free tour in any of the 25 cities that we are also in. There was a mix-up with City Wonders who we sometimes work with. This tour had been booked with them. However, once... More

We were in Rome for our wedding and decided to organise a tour for our guests the next day so they could really experience Rome and it's magnificent sites. The tour was such a success! It was seamlessly organised. Everyone really enjoyed the day, it was the perfect way to see all that we wanted to see in Rome with... More

We took the tour with the tourist guide, for less than 20 euro. Being a big group, we were offered a small radio receiver with earphones and that worked perfectly. The tour was: “on foot through the City of Rome” and was really breath-taking but exhausting. We were walking more than 5 hours, counting the stops on many of the... More

We didn't really know anything about Rome before we arrived, so we decided to take a tour to get to know more about the city. We're so glad we did! Our guide arrived early to pick us up from the hotel and immediately we could tell he was friendly and knew his stuff. This was all confirmed on our fantastic... More

Luca is absolutely the finest tour guide in the Eternal City! His friendliness and breadth of knowledge quickly make you feel as if you are a part of Rome. There isn't a meaningful aspect of the city with which he's unfamiliar. In fact, his tour doesn't feel "touristy" at all. He knows the best restaurants and we ate, on more... More

We booked two Roman Empire tours: the Colosseum with Jimmy in the morning and the Vatican with Johnny in the afternoon. Both guides were fantastic- knowledgeable, personable and wiling to please. They obviously enjoy their work. Highly recommend!

I contracted with this tour company before I left home I have difficulty walking and would never be able to tour Roma on my own. Although it was very expensive, it was well worth the price paid. Franko met us at the ship in Civitavecchia and took my sister and I to beautiful Roma.In two days he showed us all... More

Staying in Campo Marzio

Neighbourhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighbourhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (21:00), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
