Seriously, when you are walking and walking, for hours and hours, you really lose count of what you have actually seen, because there is just SO MUCH TO SEE there. This was another lovely house which you should put on your MUST SEE list.

House of Amorini Dorati is a very beautiful house worth looking round with a lovely little courtyard and garden filled with shrubbery. The house is larger than many and has been restored really well. Apparently there were rare decorations found in some of the rooms...More

Its hard not to try and imagine what day to day life went on here. obviously a wealthy family going by the size of the house, the pictures, mosaics and the courtyard with garden.

A bit unusual because the walls are covered with paintings of everyday life in the city. Decorated with gilded cupids (which are largely gone now). A wealthy home owner with an individualistic style.

This house is often neglected because it is across the street from Casa di Vettii. Inside you will find frescos, mosaic floor sections and lots of details that only the rich could afford. 10 or 15 minutes here is plenty of time.

Inside there are are walls painted with scenes of life. Also a intricately carved facade on one of the walls.

It was interesting to see how water was allowed into the pool in the front room and the layout of the home's property.
