Beautiful Spot Atop a Hill in Naples
May 2019 • Couples
We went to visit the Capodimonte Art Museum and its Caravaggio exhibition, which we enjoyed, but we liked the park even better.

The park is set on a high hill overlooking Naples, and the views are fantastic! There was a cool breeze, and we enjoyed seeing the Neapolitans taking a break on a Saturday morning. The museum and the park taken together make a perfect day's outing.

Refreshing park
Apr. 2019 • Family
Nice refreshing park full of green to visit in a warm spring day. The Royal Palace of Capodimonte is located on the territory of the park. Long time ago the palace was a summer residence and hunting lodge of the kings of the Two Sicilies, and was one of the two Royal Palaces in Napoli. Right now it is a national museum and art gallery.
Neapolitans seem to love this green place because we saw a lot of families visiting the park despite the morning time. Your child could have a lot of fun riding a pony (5€) as our little one had :). Recommended.

Hidden Gem
Sep. 2018 • Couples
Slightly out of the way (ie uphill!) but worth it for a lovely park with some impressive views and great hidden gems.
You can tell it’s admired by the Napoli people - there were many families there during the Sunday afternoon we visited.
We went and walked along to a fountain, only to find the fountain was full of turtles and fish swimming around! Definitely a surprise but really cool to see.

We just loved walking through this park. It was clean, shaded with beautiful views. We really wished we had brought our dog.

Cloudy day but great views

Nice park. Security was seen and present, so we felt safe in such a heavily wooded park. Great view of the city.

The park is very nice and popular with locals. Quiet place to relax after viewing the museum. Far from the city center.

Very beautiful but not many places to sit
Oct. 2015 • Couples
Naples doesn't have a whole lot of city parks, but you can hang out here to your heart's content without paying museum admission. When we were there we saw groups of old men simply walking around. Great views of the exterior of the palazzo and over the city. A great stop before or after visiting the museum, or if you are on an extended visit, bring a picnic. Very safe to let kids run around in.

A garden for the people
Apr. 2015 • Friends
This is a beautiful park set atop Capodimonte. Here one can see a vignette of Neapolitan life as families, friends and lovers congregate here during the long summer afternoons and over weekends. Well worth a visit.
