Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Standing on Via Mezzocannone, this is a very old church that is strangely coloured with Red Brick and gray paintwork. Needs a facelift like so many of the churches here in Naples.

A Baroque Church built in the 14th century, Sant'Angelo a Nilo is a Roman Catholic church diagonal from San Domenico Maggiore in Naples. Small and without much printed history on-site, the no photos policy makes a visit largely unnecessary unless waiting nearby for your turn to visit Museo Cappella Sansevero.

This Roman Catholic church is located on Spaccanapoli Street in the heart of old Naples and sitssits diagonally opposite San Domenico Maggiore. The church dates back to 1385 although the current building is from 1709. Interesting inside and out.

There are lots of churches and basilicas in Naples and as has been said before, this is not the greatest but that doesn't mean that it is not worth a visit. It would be a shame to ignore it as it is a very nice church with Gothic and Byzantine influences. There is a no photography rule in place but that all depends how careful and conscientious you are.

...and definatelly not one of the greatest, but still beautifull, with byzantine style icons of Christ and St. Nicolas. One can spend a few moments there, sitting, resting, admiring or even praying in this little gem

We came across this church and its facade and colour attracted us inside. However it is small and on the day of our visit it was quite dark inside making it very difficult to see and appreciate much. Perhaps more lighting, or at another time it might be more interesting, but we could not return.

This church was quite dark and made it a bit difficult to familiarize with the dignified details of this church. It is founded at the beginning of the 15th century but it underwent several transformations and enlargements in the 16th and 18th centuries. Make a donation to this church, so many seats need to be replaced.

The church of Sant'Angelo a Nilo, another beautiful masterpiece this church is located in the heart of the historic center and overlooking the famous road Spaccanapoli .
The peculiarity of this beautiful church is its facade , the predominant red color distinguishes it and makes it unique among the other churches of the center.
Also inside you can admire the bas-relief by Donatello.
Definitely worth going just 15-20 minutes to visit this famous work of art.
