There isn't really that much to do in Sorrento, although it is a pretty little town around which a pleasant day can be spent wandering. The Museobottega della Tarsialignea (Museum of inlaid wood) is one of the few places that you can actually go into...More

This museum tells the story of woodworking in Sorrento especially the intricate inlay work the area is renowned for. Some of the pieces such as the beds took my breath away, well worth a visit/

Very interesting and informative museum dedicated to the art of wood inlay. This is a dying art. Amazing levels of workmanship displayed from the past 5 centuries. The building it is housed in is worth a visit in itself.

The gentleman who established this museum has done a truly amazing job of collecting artifacts for his exhibits which take up several floors of the building. It is well worth a visit here if you are in Sorrento.

A fascinating museum that displays very fine examples of the woodworking skills associated with Sorrento. Much more than just the boxes sold for tourists, this is where to see fine antiques.

This is a fascinating small museum set in a stunning building. The pieces used to explain the growth of the marquetry industry and the development of the art are gorgeous.
