Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautifully Breathtaking is essentially all I can say to describe this one in a million site. Very fascinating and a very comfortable and inviting setting. A must!

This cathedral is such a lovely space for everyone - a space for those who wish to pray, a space for those who wish to write notes, a space for those to admire the architecture and history. Thank you for preserving such a wonderful space and allowing free entry.

It was a beautiful church in the middle of Sorrento. Very welcoming, and you are able to take plenty of photos. Definitely worth visiting even if you are not religious.

The interior of the cathedral is much more impressive than the exterior so it's worth stopping inside. We especially enjoyed the Nativity Scene. There is no charge to enter.

Tucked away in a little square is the Cathedral of Philip and James. Inside is a wondrous diorama of villagers and angels. This will grasp your attention for a considerable time. Amazing. I also suggest you look up. The ceiling is wonderful too.

Amazing church well worth a visit. The carvings were truly amazing. I visited with my husband and friends at the end of September 2023

A small cathedral but really nice inside for a peaceful look around. The ceilings look amazing with lots of detail. It comes out into a nice courtyard.

The pretty unremarkable exterior and location of this cathedral leads in to an attractive and calm interior. The wall details are lovely, the side chapels typically Italian. The special bit is the large nativity scene just by the door!

I entered this cathedral with my family on our first full day in Sorrento, while on a walking tour with Jet2.
The Nativity scene was a real stand out feature, and the views inside definitely made up for the less than remarkable exterior of the building.
Worth a visit.

My husband and I visited the cathedral once which we enjoyed, it's on the right near the top of the Corso Italia, before Piazza Tasso, the outside of the church is quite plain but the inside is beautiful, with ornate painted ceilings. As you go in, on the left hand side, behind glass there's an amazing nativity scene which is very detailed & interesting to see. Not a massive cathedral but a calm & beautiful place.
