About
Neapolitan by birth, Sorrentina by adoption. The kitchen has always been my favorite room. The realm of the House, the place where aromas, flavors and conversations are mixed. Graduated in Communication, I specialize with a Gambero Rosso Master in Communication of Food and Wine and I start working for training institutions and companies involved in the Food sector organizing courses and events. In 2019 I decide to give life to my dream: a small Cooking School in the heart of Sorrento.

My wife and I were on our honeymoon on the Amalfi Coast and she booked us in for a cooking class at Nonna Flora. Of the two weeks we were in the amalfi coast, this was by far the most enjoyable experience we had. Anna started by teaching us how to make tiramisu then while this was in the fridge, we started to make pasta from scratch. Anna’s mother joined us after some time and what an amazing lady she is - we have never eaten better meatballs in our life and this was down to Anna and her mother. After we finished our amazing experience of cooking, Anna had set up a very romantic dinner table and left us to eat.

Anna, thank you for making our honeymoon so memorable. You and your mother are both incredible and you should be very proud of what you have created in your beautiful home of Sorrento.

10/10. Highly recommended!!

The class was so Italian. Anna is inviting and makes you feel so relaxed from the time she opens the door to her beautiful, clean, modern kitchen. Her directions are simple and stress free. She took pictures, served wine and drinks, had food for us to eat the entire time. The best part is the end when you sit and enjoy the meal you just created (which was the best meal we had on our entire trip). I would highly recommend the class! A++!!! Molto molto bene!

This was my favorite part of the trip hands down!! I truly enjoyed the hostess, Ana and Ms.Patricia. This is a mom and daughter run class and the love can be felt throughout the entire class. This was not some huge seminar like class. It was truly a private cooking class for myself and two of my friends. We made everything from scratch including the pasta and it ended up being the best meal I had while in Sorrento! The location was perfect as this was only a 10 min walk from the center of town and our hotel. Ana played Italian music throughout the class and she and her mom taught us some traditional Italian dances. In return we played Frankie Beverly and taught them the electric slide!! Lol it was worth every penny!!! This class is a four course meal and Ana serves appetizers before you start cooking. We were also greeted with limencello drinks and ENDLESS wine!!! OMG!! To eat this much food and drink this much wine you would definitely pay much more at a restaurant. This is a MUST do for anyone visiting Sorrento!! I will absolutely be doing this again!!

Anna and Patricia were so great at explaining what we were going to make ahead of time to get approval for allergies and then carefully explaining how to make the food. They also provided homemade snacks and drinks. Even got some parting gifts and they took pictures throughout. Highly recommend!

Me & my husband recently enjoyed a lovely evening at Nonna Folra's cooking class!
Anna and her mother were so welcoming and informative about the local cuisine.
I'm also pregnant and they were very accommodating with the menu we cooked.
Very enjoyable evening would recommend!

This was definitely a highlight to me and my friends trip to Italy! Anna and Mama Patsy were so nice and overall incredible. The location was very convenient. It was very beautiful and clean when we walked inside. When we walked in there were appetizer on the table. We began with a limoncello spritz. We made eggplant Parmigiana, gnocchi, and Tiramisu. You get an apron and a cookbook that you get to keep! I learned so much from Anna and Mama Patsy about creating a good Italian dish. All of the ingredients were fresh and delicious. They had great music playing throughout the class. We even took a break to learn a couple of traditional Italian dances from Mama Patsy. In return we taught Anna and momma Patsy the Electra slide! Lol
Our wine glasses were filled the entire session with really great tasting wines, we were having a blast dancing and cooking and drinking, but the really magical part was the food. The food was soooo delicious and there were big portions! This was an awesome experience and when I come back I am doing it again! I really had a great time!
With love,
Taylor Johnson

My wife and I took the pasta class here. Everything about the experience was five star. The traditional family recipes and the excitement you could feel from the owner, Anna, were unmatched, and it’s obvious this business is made out of love. We did not want for anything while in the class. We were taught how to make everything from the limoncello tonic to the pasta kneading techniques which we turned into ravioli and spaghetti. Anna answered every question we had regarding the differences between American Italian cuisine and traditional Italian cooking methods. We learned so much, and we will always recommend this place for anyone who loves the art of cooking.

We smiled, we laughed to the point of almost crying. We made homemade pasta, meatballs, tiramisu and had a tremendous meal. Anna and her Nona made the evening a lot of fun.

Great ladies and truly a fun evening!

My son, a family friend and I booked a seafood class with Anna. Her email exuded warmth & friendliness that I looked forward to meeting her.
As soon as we got there, we were warmly welcomed by Anna & her mom Patrizia. The kitchen was bright, clean, & professional- yet has a welcoming atmosphere.
We made Tiramisu, stuffed Squid Napoli style, and gnocchi with clams. Anna and Patrizia were wonderful instructors and we were able to follow them easily. The food was incredible!
I’m looking forward to being able to recreate the dishes I made.
I wish I got to stay a few more days and take more cooking classes with Anna and her mom.
If ever you go to Sorrento, make sure you spend half a day learning to cook amazing food with Anna and Patrizia.
We arrived as students and left as friends.
