It is a nice walk along the sea- the promenade has nice views across to Sicily including Mt. Etna. There are also beautiful magnolia (some with amazingly thick trunks) and palm trees. Also, of course, it is excellent for people watching especially in the evening.

Beautiful seaside walk, amazing view of Sicily. If you get a chance to pass by Reggio you should definitely take a walk on the beautiful Lungomare.

Walk along this well trod promenade several times. Not wholly impressed. A bit tired and shabby in places. Out of season it seems hard to imagine it in full swing. Lovely views across the Messina Straits to see Sicily. Nice statue and modern Amphitheatre type...More

The lungomare has fantastic views over to Sicily and is a wonderful place to take a leisurely stroll, day or night. Plenty of bars, restaurants and gelataria to visit.
