Great views!!

The castle has nothing inside.. But the views are worth it! Entrance is free ans there are postres in all languages telling the place's history.

The castle is best viewed from the outside, because much of it is in ruins and much is not open. They have a nice exhibition of policemen over the years. It is not much of a rainy day activity because so little is open.

Definatelly recommend visiting this castle and purchasing the audio guide it will not disapoint. If you can be there just before sunset you will have the opportunity to witness a magnificent sunset with castle as a back drop

This tour is not suitable for women, visiting on their own. One of the old tour guides is very unprofessional in his behavior and can't keep his hands to himself. Although the tour is free, you get a very unpleasant experience in return.

I noticed this castle on the Reggio map provided by the hotel staff and decided to check it out. Glad I did! It is a tribute to those who built the castle that it has for the most part withstood numerous earthquakes in Reggio, including the one in 1908 that leveled the city. Though part of the castle is now... More

We went in the afternoon and cost €4 each. We were given a very good guide book on the history of the castle and Reggio Calabria and were shown round by an enthusiastic guide. His English was little but we got the idea and the exhibition of models of Leonardo Da Vincis drawings were exceptional. The views from the top... More

Sadly I went here in Winter. I could only imagine seeing the whole city from the top of the tower by summer / spring. There wasn't much to see if you don't like architecture or sight seeing. It was an okay visit for me.

Walked around the city centre to locate the huge fortification. Nothing unusual, but definitely one of the major attractions by the Mediterranean coast of Reggio.
