Amazing to come to such a significant historical town of Italy. We learnt a lot and left thinking that Matera is one of favorite places in Italy.

Fascinating historical area to be seen. The church in cave, the extreme living conditions of the people that lived here in the caves until the 1950's is just unbelievable.
