Organized and complete

We just came from the main market, and compared to that this is quaint. Lots of produce, and nice and organized. It's also in a nice neighbourhood!

The ruzafa market is a lovelt market. Not as big as the central market and definately not as crowded, but with less tourist a very nice and autentic place!

Smaller and not as charming as the more famous Cantral Market but still very nice. Not in a touristic area so it's "the real thing". I found here the "chufas" to make horchata at home, at a fraction of the price of the street vendors in touristic places.

I like this market. Interesting building (retro) and prices better than the Centro Mercado. Great coffee supplier who roasts her own beans and knows what she is talking about. As a coffee freak I like this and this is the only specialist supplier I have found in Valencia.

In the middle of a newly trendy, hipster and exciting neighborhood lies an amazing market. Not as big as Mercado Central, but offers just as much or even more. Produce is fresh and very well priced, lots of places to get souvenirs or canned and jarred food, meat and fresh seafood.I noticed more locals than tourist shopping here.

The central mercado is a wonderful building, and a good market, but choc full of tourists. This however,is a better bet for those who wish to do some shopping.Modern building, and very good range of products.

Called in at this market on my travels through Ruzafa. Ruzafa is in the old part of the city but this is a more modern market and does not have the grand appearance of the central market (Plaça del Mercado). It is however a quality market with brut ugly displayed food which is good quality. The fish stalls are a... More

Great market - similar to the Mercado Central but on a smaller scale without the grand building and the tourists

Went here and bought a few different bits for a nice picnic. Not as great as the Mercado market in the Center, but lovely people and lovely food. Would recommend visiting both!

This is not as large or as diverse or as beautiful as the central market, but it is also a lot less crowded. We stopped here when we were in the area for a wonderful selection of fresh fruit and juices when the temperatures were scorching. I especially enjoyed the delicious watermelon juice at several vendors as a light way... More
